Coaching Inspiration
I’d done nearly everything in my accounting career to make me “happy.” But deep down, something was wrong, and I knew it, and I felt so STUCK!!! I built an entire life around meeting everyone’s definition of success but my own. When presented with a potentially life-altering professional opportunity, I hired a coach (Amber Setter). Amber helped me to create and navigate a monumental shift in my career, but more importantly, in my overall life. My experience working with a coach was so incredible that I wanted to give others the same gifts that my coach gave me. The gift of empowerment. Of being heard and understood. Of uncovering fundamental parts of me that were waiting to shine, using courage I never knew I had. Now I’m grateful to help others along their path.

Where I am from:
I didn’t recognize it as such at the time, but I spent the first 36-ish years of my life seeking external validation. I didn’t know that I was already enough…that everything I needed was already inside of me, just waiting to unfold…if I only I were quiet enough listen, and brave enough to follow my heart.
Who I am today:
- After my wife lost her parents back-to-back under traumatic circumstances, we realized we needed to be bold and live freely while we were healthy and able to do so. I quit my job at Deloitte. We sold everything we owned, bought an RV, and traveled across the US for nearly six years while working remotely from places so beautiful we could hardly believe our eyes. We’ve since settled high in the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado, where we’ve immersed ourselves in nature and are blessed to be surrounded by other seekers on the path to self-realization.
- Becoming a coach is fulfilling in ways that I never thought possible. Helping others to realize, cherish, and manifest their own innate gifts is a privilege beyond words.
Where I am headed:
Psychedelic-assisted therapy has played an incredible role in my healing and personal growth. I look forward to working with people who are approaching psychedelic-assisted therapy, or integrating their experiences after the fact.

Where I am from:
I am the sixth of seven children in my family. My parents divorced when I was young and my mom had the single responsibility of raising us. She was amazing, but still, with seven kids a year apart, it was a lot – a bit wild at times. (At 10 years old I gathered up my courage and ran away from home with my basketball and my pillow – but only for an hour or so!) In that mix, I was a gawky, shy girl. As I grew older, I changed physically, but the core of me lacked confidence. Upon graduating high school, I realized I was not surrounded by the best of people. I once again mustered up my courage and went to live with my dad, a colonel in the marine corps. He shaped me up quickly and I moved a year later to go off to college.
Who I am today:
- I take bold actions that scare me.
- I love to bring clarity to what is truly important.
- I strive to support others to find their courage.
- I’ve been married for 34 years and have two grown sons.
- I ensure there is plenty of space for my family.
- Focus on civic issues that are important to me (democracy and climate change).
- I always keep growth in mind and like to surprise myself about what’s next.
Where I am headed:
And that’s an open slate right now. Some days I want the comfort of knowing the who, what, when, and where, but most days I’m letting the wind take me until the path is clear. Coaching will always be a part of my life though, it fulfills me.
Favorite Client Testimonials
“Prior to coaching, I held the notion that because I make good money; I am a tall, white male; my family is healthy; and I have supportive family and friends that I don’t deserve to be vulnerable and shouldn’t have unhappy feelings in certain moments. Who am I to say that “life is hard and that I have problems” when I’m probably in the top 1% of the world as far as quality of life? I’ve held that thinking for too long and it built up inside of me. I now realize that none of us live perfect lives and it’s ok to be vulnerable and to have breakdowns. I am now conscious about my life in ways I never thought was possible. I am able to assess, pause, reflect, and move forward in a more confident and fulfilling manner in regards to decision making, how I spend my time, and what I focus on during my daily life.”
