Lynnette Oss Connell
Leadership & CPA Exam Coach
Coaching Inspiration
Deep in burnout, I asked myself, What do you still like about your firm? Answer: the people—not just my clients, but also other accountants. Coaching myself, I asked the logical follow-up: What would it look like if you focused entirely on the people? I felt a spark of hope as I moved toward alignment and began my coaching practice.
Ideal Clients
- Professionals working to pass the CPA exam
- Accountants struggling to recover from burnout
- Individuals in career transitions in accounting roles
- Parents ready to find a new way beyond simple “work-life balance”
Competence
Consciousness
I began my career in public accounting, passing the CPA exam on my first try. In 2010, with a newborn at home, I left public accounting to launch my own client accounting services practice. On the outside, it looked like I had it all—a growing family and a thriving entrepreneurial career. But just beneath the surface, I was battling chronic burnout, fueled
by the belief that success had to come at the cost of my mental health.
In 2023, I made a pivotal shift: I sold my practice, faced my burnout head-on, and began a new chapter as a coach. Today, I help accountants and firm leaders prevent and recover from burnout so they can find sustainable fulfillment at every stage of their career.
Awards & Professional Distinctions
- CPA since 2007
- CAS firm owner from 2010 -2023
Ready to begin your transformation?
My core belief is that true, sustainable success is found at the intersection of self-awareness and strategy—not at the altar of self-sacrifice. When we honor the unique rhythms and circumstances of our lives, we unlock our greatest impact. In doing so, the accounting profession doesn’t just gain more productivity—it gains our brilliance, innovation, and authentic voice.
- Wife to a CPA
- Mom & stepmom to 5 kids
- Working toward my coaching and yoga teacher certifications
- Recovering overachiever, perfectionist and people pleaser
